The Big Horn 70157 Latch & Strike Template Kit is designed to create precise 1-1/8" x 2-1/4" finish mortises for latch installations and 1-1/8" x 2-3/4" finish mortises for deadbolt strike and "T" strike plate installations on doors and jambs. This kit combines the Big Horn 70131 B Latch Template and the 70134 B Deadbolt Strike Template, providing everything needed for professional-quality door hardware installations. The included center locators ensure accurate alignment by positioning the template over pre-bored holes. Fine steel nails at both ends of the templates securely attach them to the door, ensuring stable operation. Once the templates are secured, simply remove the locator and route the mortise using a 5/8” router template guide and a 1/2” mortising bit for smooth and accurate cuts. This template kit delivers professional results every time, ensuring a perfect fit for residential latch and strike plate installations.
