The Big Horn 70156 A Latch & Strike Template Kit is designed to create precise 1" x 2-1/4" finish mortises for both latch and strike plate installations on doors and jambs. This kit combines the Big Horn 70131 A Latch Template and the 70132 A Strike Template, offering everything needed to ensure professional-quality door hardware installations. The included red plastic center locator ensures accurate alignment by positioning the template over pre-bored holes. Fine steel nails at both ends of the template securely attach it to the door, ensuring stable operation. Once the template is secured, simply remove the locator and route the mortise using a 5/8” router template guide and a 1/2” mortising bit for smooth and accurate cuts. This template delivers reliable results every time, ensuring a perfect fit for residential latch and strike plate installations.
