The open sides on both cheeks allow the full-width blade to cut right up to shoulders, rabbets, recesses, and inside corners. Its dual open-side design also allows planing from either direction to follow grain direction during fitting and cleanup work. The compact low-angle body supports chamfering, end-grain trimming, small-surface smoothing, and general shop touch-ups. Precision-ground sole and sides help maintain flat contact and square registration during light planing, edge work, and joinery cleanup.
